The Betta Way to Do It

This weekend, while I was home to visit friends and family, my roommate and I stopped by Petco to pick up a third roommate. I wanted a sweet snake, but Marty hates them. He wanted this sweet but probably poisonous frog, but we decided it wouldn't be allowed in our room. I'm allergic to rabbits, so we decided to get a fish. The store had a whole section of Betta fish of all colors. Some bright blue, others flashy red, some with stripes of rainbow like colors. I was not too impressed with all these colorful fish because if all Betta's are colorful, who stands out? And that is when I saw him. I would say it was love at first sight, but I don't think that applies for fish. I hadn't felt this way since I first saw Transformers. In the bottom right corner, like he was hiding from the glare of the other lame fish, we saw our Crowntail Betta. He's a dark black with stripes of white and probably the most beautiful male Crowntail Betta I have ever seen. We quickly decided he was the one and that was final.
